A Story Of God’s Faithfulness

Merge has never been a story of human ability, big personalities, or perfect planning. From the beginning, it has been a story of God's faithfulness—opening doors we could not open, providing what we could not provide, and bringing ordinary people together who were willing to say yes.

Beginning

Founded In FAith

In April 2017, we made the decision to plant Merge.Church. On October 1, 2017, approximately 120 people gathered for our first public service. It was not glamorous or perfectly organized, but it was meaningful. It felt like the beginning of a church family learning to trust God one step at a time.

God Opened The Next Door

Not long after we started, a building along Highway 59 caught our attention. We had no clear path toward it and knew we could not afford it, but we wrote the owner and asked whether he would consider selling. The first conversation placed it far beyond our ability.

Over time, a relationship formed. The owner told us he did not want to stand in the way of what God was doing. What once seemed impossible slowly became possible—not because we forced it, but because God provided in His timing.

When our original meeting space became uncertain, God had already been preparing the next step. People stepped in, resources came together, and a former manufacturing space became a place where people could know God, love one another, and live out their faith together.

Through COVID, new locations, growing attendance, and every season since, we have been reminded that the church is not built on momentum, buildings, or full rooms. It is built on Christ, and He remains faithful when circumstances change.

When you become part of Merge, you are not stepping into a story of human achievement. You are becoming part of a story of God's faithfulness—a story He is still writing.
